KAMS approached us with the goal of getting WA’s northern Indigenous population vaccinated. This was of critical importance given these communities are amongst the country’s most vulnerable.

We felt there was little to be gained from beating around the bush. The reality was (and still is) that vaccines save lives and getting vaccinated will protect communities. This was not a time for complacency or selfishness. In fact, we built the campaign around getting vaccinated for others, not just yourself.

Film production was carried out on location in Broome and featured professional and non-professional Aboriginal actors and voice-over talent. The hard-hitting videos were complemented with community-minded, socially-driven digital content. The campaign proved so successful that the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) broadcast it nationally.

Rhythm acknowledges the traditional custodians throughout Western Australia and their continuing connection to the land, waters and community. We pay our respects to all members of the Aboriginal communities and their cultures; and to Elders both past and present.
